Well it has been an interesting journey so far with my discernment process. I have been home visiting family for about 2 weeks now...it will be nice to get back to nannying with a new family!!!!!!! And being around the Sisters...although I am discerning with another community since I have the opportunity right now. I will be going on a retreat there in February so I hope it all works out. It's about 10 hours away driving wise. So I'm hoping that my friend and I can get all the details worked out....if not I guess it's not the Lord's will for me to go. I'm really excited for it, but very nervous all at the same time. On January 2nd, 2007 I'm going to start a 54 day novena praying the rosary in regards to my vocation. The last day will land on the first day of the retreat...so God-willing the Lord will direct and guide me in the direction that HE is calling me...the right community. So it should be interesting because I've never prayed a 54 day novena!! I will be asking through the intercession of St. Dominic and St. Anthony (one of MY FAV. SAINTS)...to guide and direct me. May the Lord's will be done. I can't wait to meet with my spiritual director on January 8th. I haven't talked to him since I left for Christmas break...so I have a lot to tell him! Please keep me in your prayers!!!!!!!!!!!!
God Love You,
Ali
St. Dominic, pray for us! St. Anthony of Padua, pray for us! Mother Mary, guide and protect my vocation!
I will post more about my journey a little later!
